Dittybase adds Donald A. Jasko to Advisory Board
VICTORIA, B.C. & SANTA MONICA, CA May 27, 2005
Dittybase Technologies, Inc. announced today the appointment of Donald A. Jasko of Digital Economics, LLC to its Advisory Board.
Don Jasko served in various management positions at the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP),
in which he was instrumental in transforming the process by which performance rights are licensed for broadcast television.
He was a key participant in the complex music industry negotiations that culminated in the new "per program" license, as well
as the development of the process by which music performance and pricing data are exchanged electronically between television
broadcasters and performing rights organizations. Don was also instrumental in the development of the infrastructure that
supports the direct and source licensing of performance rights in musical compositions.
After resigning from ASCAP to found Digital Economics, Don played a major role in developing the business plan that led to
the funding of an innovative, new production music library in 2000. Don was also a major catalyst in the merger of Solana
Technology Development Corporation with Aris Technologies, thereby creating Verance Corporation, a leader in the field of
digital audio watermark technologies. The merger paved the way for a significant, new venture capital funding of Verance.
During his tenure at Verance Don strategized the design and introduction of products and applications that would leverage
the value of ConfirMedia™ content identification watermarks for advertisers, program producers, broadcast and cable
networks, and their creative contributors. He also played a key role in forging international joint ventures.
Prior to earning his JurisDoctor degree at Seton Hall University School of Law, Don received a Bachelor of Arts degree cum
laude (with a major in Government) from the University of Virginia. He is also a graduate of the Program on Investment
Decisions and Behavioral Finance at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
"Don's experience in the music industry speaks for itself, and will prove invaluable as Dittybase's online production music
publishing and license administration systems continue to gain visibility and acceptance as the clear market leader. We look
forward to having Don in an advisory role as Diitybase's dedicated following continues to grow among music libraries, ad
agencies and production companies," said Lance Landiak, VP of Business Development at Dittybase.
"I'm very excited about having the opportunity to serve on Dittybase's Advisory Board. Dittybase's unparalleled blend of
technical innovation, publishing expertise and international relationships makes it truly unique in the production music
industry," said Donald A. Jasko.
